Coaching Opportunity

Dean is a USA Certified Coach (level III) and is dedicated to developing endurance athletes. Most importantly, he's available to listen to the needs of endurance athletes who are seeking individualized training plans. Dean has agreed to select a deserving youth cyclists age 11 to 18 from the Fall Gone Riding Series and provide free coaching for the final six (6) weeks of the series should that person wish to accept the assistance.

Selection will take place based on a 200-word essay or less from the youth rider that can express a desire to be coached. The essay should cover the rider’s current training regiment, season goals and why he/she would like the assistance of a coach. Simply e-mail the reason why you would like to have a training plan drawn up and what you hope to accomplish from it. Again, Dean really wants to work with someone who really has an open mind and is willing to commit to the plan.

New Affiliate - Namrita O'Dea

Hello BCC Athletes,

I'm excited about the opportunity to work with each of you on your nutrition to help you reach your performance goals! It's amazing how many athletes put in the training hours, do intervals, recovery rides, long endurance rides, etc. but then miss the nutrition piece. Once you realize that training & nutrition go hand in hand, you will be amazed at the gains you will make in your performance and in your body. Not only will we focus on the on-the-bike nutrition, but we will also address the off-the-bike daily nutrition. Every body's schedules, needs, and preferences are different so I can work with each of you individually to make sure you have a great nutrition plan to fit your specific needs. If this is something you are interested in, please contact me through my website and we will get started. I will need to gather some basic information from you about your nutritional intake, your goals, and your training/racing schedule.

I work with many types of athletes, but mostly with cyclists and triathletes. I also currently work with the college students at Georgia State University. You can learn more about me by visiting my website.

Thanks, and I look forward to working with you!

Training Logs Are Not An Option

Rider Status and Recourses: As of August 2008, BCCyclistsFL was able to release funds to Martin Cox and Brent Hall. Services from OYM.com were provided to Regan Woodall. If necessary Jamie Knight will be receiving funds for Cyclo Cross Nationals and Regan is anticipating participating in an additional National Short Track Race. Riders must specify when the money is needed and for what national race(s). No funds will be released to BCC members unless the rider's coach states they are ready to compete at a national level. If the rider is not professionally coached the rider must produce training logs for the six weeks leading into the race to assure he or she is properly prepared. All riders must sign the Letter of Intent Form prior to receiving funds or services. There are continuing efforts to raise funds for this program.
